FD-LTDA-MAC: Full-Duplex Unsynchronised Scheduling in Linear Underwater Acoustic Chain Networks

In-band full-duplex communication offers significant potential to enhance network performance. This paper presents the linear transmit delay allocation MAC (FD-LTDA-MAC) protocol for based underwater acoustic chain networks (FD-UACNs) subsea pipeline monitoring. incorporates a number of extensions LTDA-MAC in order fully exploit advantages efficiency facility The uses greedy optimisation algorithm derive collision-free packet schedules delivering data packets sink node network. purpose this is show improvement that can be achieved scheduling by exploiting temporal spectrum re-use an channel through communication. Simulation results more efficient and reduced end-to-end delays large scale scenarios using FD-LTDA-MAC compared with enabled nodes. It provide much higher monitoring rates long range pipelines low cost, mid range, rate, power modems.
